It’s always helpful for us to look back and see what God has done, how far He would reach for us, to protect, and to chastice, but most importantly, it allows us to gain strength to prepare us for what is to come, the battles we will face, confidently secure in the fact that we are overcomers in Christ.

In Acts 9:26-27, we see this same Barnabas consoling the church, showing them Paul (Saul) was not a threat. We see him again in Acts 11:23: “Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.” As Steve shows, Barnabas’ name meant Son of Encouragement,…

I think the Sermon on the Mount is so important for us to live a full and abundant life.
