Lord, help us not only listen well but instill good questions in us to ask, like “what happened to you?” instead of “what’s the matter with you?”…particularly when we “think” we might know what’s going on in a situation like close family matters…🙏✝️

In both NT and OT cases there seems to be possible exhaustion or at the least possible weariness of “trying to do the next right thing” in their own strength. Many times I too forget to “ask”🙏❤️‍🩹

Not gonna lie that reading todays Daily Office was easy. As a kid church daily mass at 7am read very very similarly and it always freaked me out as spooky with the smells of incense and the big catherdral echo of priest chanting and kinda singing between his coughs from his habit of being a known cigar smoker.

Mom’s fav Psalm read at her memorial service after being their worship leader for 30 years. Kim and TJ were 10&12 years old and knew 3 songs. We played 2 of them and looking back it’s like she passed the torch of musical worship to our family ❤️☝🏻🔥🎁
