We have worked with various personality tests here at Church Consultant in our efforts to help church staff learn and grow together into a more cohesive unit. We believe the main drawback of the other personality tests available is that their results include so many different possibilities, making it more difficult to grasp how different personality types work and blend together. What we love about the Christian DISC is that there are only four possible outcomes. This makes working with the results much more practical for all involved. (We include a cross-reference to the Myers-Briggs for comparison because so many people are aware of their MBTI personality types.)

Introduction

The Christian DISC is a spiritual personality assessment that categorizes personality into four types, and integrates insight from scripture and emotional intelligence. The model behind the assessment is different from others because it is effective at not only helping people understand themselves, but also in helping them understand others. Compared to other personality tests, the four types and their relation to one another is easier to grasp as a whole. The assessment also places a greater emphasis on emotional intelligence, personal relationships, and implements spiritual insight and wisdom from scripture.
