The Emerging Church

A Church Entering a New Season of Flourishing

A church flourishing profile characterized by renewed vision, growing momentum, developing strengths, and a fresh invitation to discover God’s next chapter of ministry and Kingdom impact.

The Emerging Church profile reflects churches that are entering a season of renewal, rediscovery, or fresh Kingdom opportunity. Rather than emphasizing one dominant LIFE dimension, these churches are actively developing leadership, influence, formation, and engagement as they move toward greater flourishing.

An Emerging Church is not defined by its age, attendance, denomination, or history. Some Emerging Churches are newly planted congregations, while others are long-established churches experiencing fresh vision, renewed purpose, and God’s invitation into a new season of ministry.

Emerging Churches frequently demonstrate openness to learning, willingness to embrace change, and a desire to faithfully discern where God is leading them next.

Healthy Emerging Churches recognize that flourishing is a journey rather than a destination. They remain teachable, prayerful, courageous, and expectant as they seek God’s leading for the future.

A New Thing

Key Verse: Isaiah 43:19

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?”

The calling of an Emerging Church is to remain attentive to the Holy Spirit, embracing God’s invitation to renewed faithfulness, fresh vision, and greater Kingdom flourishing.

As Emerging Churches mature, hope becomes vision, vision becomes faithful action, and renewed obedience becomes a testimony to God’s ongoing work among His people.
