Encourager LIFE

The Influence Church

I – Influence Emphasis

A church flourishing profile characterized by gospel impact, community engagement, outward focus, and a commitment to helping people encounter the love and message of Jesus.

The Influence Church profile is based on the Influence emphasis within the Encourager LIFE framework. Influence Churches often demonstrate a strong commitment to gospel impact, community presence, evangelism, compassion, and meaningful engagement beyond the walls of the church.

As an Influence Church, you are often energized by mission, outreach, hospitality, and opportunities to serve your neighbors. You value helping people experience the goodness of God in practical and relational ways.

Influence Churches frequently become visible signs of hope in their communities. They seek to connect the message of Jesus with real people, real needs, and real opportunities for Kingdom impact.

How LIFE Shapes This Expression

Encourager LIFE is built around four emphases of church flourishing: Leadership, Influence, Formation, and Engagement. The Influence Church expression emphasizes gospel impact, community engagement, and helping the church live as a faithful witness in its surrounding context.

Philip the Evangelist

Scripture: Acts 8:4–8; Acts 8:26–40

Philip carried the message of Jesus beyond familiar boundaries. His ministry shows how gospel influence can happen through both public proclamation and personal conversation.

LIFE in Church Ministry

The Influence Church profile does not suggest that outward mission is more important than the other LIFE emphases. Rather, it reflects the primary way this church often contributes to the Kingdom.

Healthy Influence Churches recognize that mission must be rooted in formation, compassion must be joined with truth, and outreach must lead toward deeper discipleship in Christ.

Gospel Impact and Witness

Key Verse: Matthew 5:16

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

The calling of an Influence Church is to shine the light of Christ in ways that help others see the goodness, mercy, and truth of God.

As Influence Churches mature, outreach becomes witness, compassion becomes mission, and community presence becomes a faithful expression of the Kingdom of God.
